“19 Rohingya Refugees Rescued, 3 Human Traffickers Arrested in Cox’s Bazar”

Early today, 19 Rohingya individuals were rescued, and three members of a human trafficking ring were arrested in the Kachhapia area of Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.

The operation, led by Sub-Inspector Badiul Alam from Teknaf Police Station, took place around 3:00 am. The arrested traffickers—Jafar Alam, 30, Mujib Ullah, 32, and Hamid Ullah, 32—are all residents of East Kachhapia in Teknaf, according to Mohammad Rahmat Ullah, Superintendent of Cox’s Bazar police.

A case has been filed against the suspects under the Human Trafficking Prevention and Suppression Act at Teknaf Police Station. Authorities have emphasized that operations against human traffickers will continue.
