Renowned actor Mosharraf Karim has ventured into playback singing with his debut song “Bhalo Bhalo Lage Na” for the film Bildakini, directed by Fazlul Kabir Tuhin. Not only did Mosharraf lend his voice to the track, but he also performed it on-screen. The song, which he wrote and composed himself, was recently released under the G-Series banner.
Director Fazlul Kabir Tuhin shared the story behind the collaboration, explaining that Mosharraf had written the song some time ago. “We often sang it together during informal hangouts,” Tuhin recalled. “For a specific prison scene in the film, I felt this song would fit perfectly. When I mentioned it to Mosharraf bhai, he asked who would sing it. I told him it would sound best in his voice, and he agreed. That’s how we ended up recording the song.”
Bildakini, based on the novel by renowned writer Nuruddin Jahangir, tackles powerful themes of women’s empowerment and motherhood. The film features Mosharraf Karim and Indian actress Parno Mittra in the lead roles and was initially set for a theatrical release on January 24. However, due to the current political situation in the country, the director is reconsidering the release date. He explained, “The instability we’ve been facing recently has affected theatre attendance, and distributors have raised concerns. We’re rethinking the release date, and a final decision will be made tomorrow.”
Fans of Mosharraf Karim and the film eagerly await the final release update, hoping for a timely launch despite the ongoing challenges.
