Bangladesh has taken the initiative to organize an international investment conference. This grand gathering of global investors will be held in the capital Dhaka in April. Business tycoon Elon Musk is expected to attend the conference. Multiple reliable sources have informed Manabzamin that the government is highly optimistic about Elon Musk’s presence. In fact, Musk’s senior security advisor has already visited Dhaka.
Recently, Elon Musk set a new record in global economic history. According to a Bloomberg report, he became the first person to amass a fortune of $400 billion. His companies, Tesla and SpaceX, have seen rapid market growth, propelling him to the position of the world’s wealthiest individual.
Multiple diplomatic and government sources have told Manabzamin that the desired investment conference could take place in the first half of April. Preparations have already begun with a proposed 3-day schedule and guest list. The event is being planned carefully to ensure it does not conflict with any schedule of Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus’s investment conference, which is also being organized under the interim government’s leadership.
The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) is in charge of organizing the investment conference. However, the entire government and administration will be involved in executing this mega event. The goal is to make this the best investment conference in the 53-year history of the country. The event is expected to take place around the proposed dates in April.
Sources indicate that the conference will target inviting the world’s wealthiest individuals. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison may also receive invitations. According to insiders, Bangladesh is trying to attract global tycoons to the conference. BIDA is considering utilizing Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus’s good offices to secure their attendance.
It is worth noting that Elon Musk’s wealth has grown alongside his increasing political involvement. Donald Trump has been re-elected as the President of the United States. Musk’s significant role in Trump’s current election campaign has been beneficial for his business interests, especially in the US market. As a continuation of this, Musk’s associate, Indian-American Sriram Krishnan, is set to be appointed to the AI policy-making committee of the White House. This decision was recently announced by the newly elected US President. Trump stated that Sriram Krishnan will play a key role in shaping the policies related to artificial intelligence.
It should be noted that in the past, Bangladesh has hosted several “investment conferences,” both domestically and internationally, but none of them have achieved their intended goals.
