Sumon Agency from Noakhali district has been honored with the prestigious title of “Best Agency of 2024” by MetLife Bangladesh, according to a recent press release. The agency received this recognition for its outstanding efforts in promoting life insurance awareness, leveraging digital technology, delivering exceptional customer service, and creating job opportunities. Their remarkable achievement also includes being the top-performing MetLife agency in the country in terms of business success in 2024.

This recognition is reserved for only one agency each year, and Sumon Agency’s success is the result of the collective efforts of its Unit Managers and Financial Associates, all guided by the leadership of Branch Manager Sofi Ullah Sumon.

Sofi Ullah Sumon, who has been with MetLife since 2008, began as a financial associate and steadily rose through the ranks. He was promoted to Unit Manager in 2010, and his consistent success led to his promotion as Branch Manager in 2018.

The award ceremony, held at the agency office in Maijdee Court, Noakhali, saw Ala Ahmad, CEO of MetLife Bangladesh, present the “Best Agency of 2024” trophy to Sofi Ullah Sumon. Other key MetLife officials, including Jafar Sadeque Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director & Chief Distribution Officer; Kamrul Anam, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Operations Officer; and Md. Lutfor Rahman, Assistant Managing Director & Chief Agency Sales Officer, were also present to congratulate the team.

In his remarks, Ala Ahmad praised Sumon Agency for their exceptional achievements. “Congratulations to Sumon Agency for being named the best agency in Bangladesh. This success shows that anyone, from any part of the country, can build a strong career in the insurance sector, which also plays a vital role in combating unemployment in Bangladesh,” he said. He emphasized the importance of digital technology in expanding insurance coverage and improving customer service quality across the nation.
