The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has issued a directive to district education officers, urging them to report any educational institution or student found spreading rumors or propaganda against the government or the state.

The instruction, signed by Professor Abed Nomani, Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Wing at DSHE, was communicated through a notification dated January 2. It follows discussions in a monthly coordination meeting held under the Ministry of Education’s Secondary and Higher Education Division.

According to the notification, officials at the local level are being urged to stay vigilant and take proactive steps to prevent students from falling victim to misinformation or participating in activities that could provoke unrest against the government or the state. District and upazila education officers are also tasked with closely monitoring schools and colleges in their areas. Should any institution or student be found involved in spreading false information or anti-government propaganda, these officers are instructed to report the matter to higher authorities for further action.
