Olympic Industries Ltd has announced plans to import a new multi-colour cookie production line, along with standard accessories, at an estimated cost of Tk 13.19 crore.
The company’s board approved the decision during a meeting held on May 21, as disclosed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website today.
According to Olympic, the production equipment —sourced from Zhongshan Dingson Food Machinery in Guangdong Province, China—will cost $1,081,500, which is approximately Tk 13.19 crore. The new line will have an annual production capacity of 9,048 tonnes and will be installed and commissioned at the company’s Madanpur factory in Narayanganj.
As of April 30, 2025, Olympic Industries’ shareholding structure was as follows: sponsors and directors held 32.38 percent, institutional investors 20.65 percent, foreign investors 34.21 percent, and the general public 12.76 percent, according to DSE data.
