Owners in the textile and garment sector have voiced serious concerns about the inadequate supply of gas, which is significantly disrupting their operations.

Showkat Aziz Russell, President of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), warned that many textile mills are on the brink of closure due to their inability to operate even at minimum capacity.

He made these remarks during a joint press conference at the Gulshan Club in Dhaka.

“We need a clear roadmap for gas supply,” Russell stated. “Without it, we cannot keep our mills running.”
